Catherine is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto. She lived in Lancashire, England in her childhood and now lives in Canada with her family. She has a career spanning over 24 years as a teacher of visual arts.

 

Catherine has a passion for drawing and painting and regularly explores a variety of subjects including life, landscapes, seascapes and even the underwater world of cnidarians. Catherine finds inspiration from great master artists such as J.M.W. Turner. Elements of this inspiration can be found in her landscape artworks where she incorporates depth through layers of colour, movement through brushstrokes, and at times her work may appear ominous and moody due to her colour choices.

Catherine has illustrated multiple books and over the years has completed and donated several original artworks to charities both locally and globally.

Jaide Johnston is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University. Jaide has a unique blend of interior design styles, drawing inspiration from traditional, 70's, and country aesthetics.

Her artistic influences, include Johannes Vermeer, Claude Monet, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, which shape her design philosophy and approach. Jaide is particularly captivated by the process of creation and the intricacies of line drawings, often finding herself more fascinated by blueprints and sketches than the final product itself.

In addition to design and art, Jaide dabbles in new technologies such as 3d printing, augmented reality, Unreal Engine, Grasshopper and Cinema4D. She is fascinated by the evolving world of digital and enjoys meshing her traditional styles with new technology.
